Throughout the coming years, Tony saw continued success; being nominated for, and winning multiple Tejano Music Awards. In the early 90’s, La Sombra decided to change record labels. The first record they recorded on the new label, “Porque Te Quiero“, went on to receive a grammy nomination. Taking their catalogue of successful jams on the road, Tony and La Sombra toured all over the United States and Latin America for years to come, making appearances on several popular Hispanic TV programs.

Liberty Band won the best Texas local BandAward for 2005 at the Academy of Tejano Artist and Musicians Awards. They also werenominated for Best Tejano Band in Texas for 2006 and 2007 at the Premio Latino Awards.March of 2010 Liberty Band was nominated and won for Best local Band at the Premio LatinoAwards.
